My name is Astoria Turner. I am originally from Northern Virginia, but currently reside in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. I have been an educator for 15 years and am a mom of two. My position is Director of Education. My qualifications as an educator comes from my E.D.'s degree (specializing in special needs and bi-lingual students) and I’m Nationally certified to teach anywhere in the US. I enjoy working with the community, as I am also the community service chair of a local organization. (I will not name the organization without their written permission.) I have been a foster sister for over 20 years, so I truly understand the necessity of a welcoming, safe place for young adults who need a place to call home.
