Dr. Jeff (Dr. J) & Elder Lisa Chandler are the leaders of Abiding Faith Ministries (AFM), under the spiritual covering and leadership of Drs. Harold B. and Kellie V. Hayes, of True Life Worship and Synergy Center for Personal Development. Under their leadership, Abiding Faith works toward the ministry vision and mission of helping all to live Moment by Moment All by Faith, through daily prayer conference calls, podcasts, weekly virtual ministry worship moments, hosting annually the Radical Love Marriage Retreat, fostering ministry partnerships with other ministries and non-profit organizations to advance the work of kingdom ministry. The ministry also ministers to the needs of women and men through W.O.N.D.E.R.F.U.L. Wives and the Men’s Corner. Most recently Dr. and Elder Chandler have led the efforts of establishing global outreach and ministry in Uganda, providing health, nutritional, educational, and spiritual support for a group of underserved women and children.

Dr. Jeff and Elder Lisa are highly motivated, educated, and dedicated servant leaders with decades of combined ministry service and leadership in various positions and ministry roles. Dr. J., originally from Baltimore, Md, matriculated with honors through the Baltimore Public School system, followed by undergraduate studies at Howard University, in Washington, D.C. He graduated in 2001 with a Master of Divinity from the Howard University School of Divinity, and a Doctor of Ministry from the Lancaster Theological Seminary, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, in 2023.

He was licensed to preach the Gospel in 1998, under the leadership of the late Bishop Florida T. Morehead, of the Shalom Ministries Christian Center, and ordained Elder by the Mount Calvary Holy Church America in 2001. Dr. J is an active member of the Howard University Alumni Association, Lancaster Theological Seminary Alumni Council, and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Mother Pearl Alumni Association.

Elder Lisa, originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was educated in Pittsburgh Public Schools and graduated from Langley High School. She pursued her undergraduate education at Howard University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Most recently, she earned a Master of Arts degree from Wesley Theological Seminary in May 2008.

In March 2003 she became a licensed minister of the Gospel and began serving on the ministerial team at Shalom Ministries Christian Center (Ft. Washington, MD), and in May 2012 was ordained an Elder by the Mount Calvary Holy Church of America. Elder Lisa is a prolific and gifted workshop facilitator, with unique creative and innovative presentation skills that have blessed many through her love and desire to serve and empower women, young engineers, and married couples.

Their greatest joy is doing life and ministry together, being the parents of Brandon and Jadyn, and grandparents of Kymani. Collectively they believe that each of them is a gift directly from the hand of the Father.
